Viktor Maciag

Viktor Maciag studied Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University where he began his tissue engineering work on constructing silk based scaffolds for seeding induced pluripotent stem cells onto and then differentiating into neural cells in order to create an in vitro three dimensional neural network. He then applied those skills to work on fabricating a chitosan based scaffold with parallel linearly aligned pores for seeding with turkey myoblasts for in vitro muscle fiber development. He then left academia to pursue cultured meat in industry and now works as the tissue engineer at Mission Barns.
